It's easy to think of Gateway to Science as a local attraction, but did you know that we see visitors from all over the country? Since we opened in 1994, our audience has been split fairly evenly between three categories: 1) group visits, including school field trips; 2) educational programs and workshops; and 3) walk-in traffic, including families. 2010 has brought us visitors from Colorado, Illinois, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, New York, South Dakota, Texas, Washington, Wisconsin, and even Manitoba and Saskatchewan, Canada! We've seen North Dakota visitors from Belden, Bowman, Dickinson, Judson, Minot, Rugby, Sawyer, Turtle Lake, Tuttle, West Fargo, Williston, Wilton, Wing and Zeeland. The economic impact that Gateway to Science brings to our community is pretty clear as those visiting families stay in hotels, eat in local restaurants and shop while they are in Bismarck. We believe this is a great reason for our community to support the only hands-on science center in North Dakota through membership and charitable contributions.

Board Member Scott Wild has applied his amazing technical expertise to helping us set up a new website: www.gatewaytoscience.org . The new site provides greater flexibility in content and includes a blog for the latest news and information. It feeds all our blogs to our Facebook and Twitter accounts in order to provide accessibility to up-to-date information at all times. Visitors can still access us through www.gscience.org or www.highprairiecomplex.com .  Our greater online presence has made it easy for families to find us and plan visits to our exhibits gallery while they are visiting the state. Take a moment to check out the new site.
